I am a seasoned father and proud grandad who has a passion for spiritual and emotional growth and development. Having experienced many years of personal growth work myself, in recovery groups, support groups, couples counseling and individual therapy, I fully grasp the feelings of reservation and uncertainty associated with stepping into the counseling space as a client. It is this understanding that creates in me a special ability to connect compassionately and constructively with those who are seeking to heal important relationships and live their best lives. I have a special enthusiasm for working with young adults, couples and families in individual and group settings, utilizing Solutions-Focused and Psychodynamic approaches.
I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Capella University, and I am a certified SYMBIS facilitator for engaged and married couples. I was an ordained Elder and Senior Pastor in the AME Zion Church for 12 years, led Celebrate Recovery groups for 7 years, and I currently serve as a Couples Conflict Group Facilitator at my local church. I am a Counselor Intern under supervision as I complete my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University.
