Allison Mowatt

My name is Allison Mowatt, and I am currently pursuing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and have proudly called Covington, Georgia, my home since childhood. In addition to my passion for mental health, I enjoy dancing, creating digital art, painting, and cooking.

My interest in mental health emerged from my own experiences and witnessing my family cope with their mental health struggles. My previous work assisting adolescents and their families in connecting with community resources strengthened my dedication to supporting others.

I am interested in person-centered and humanistic approaches. I aim to use these approaches to foster a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where clients feel heard and empowered. I am also excited to learn new approaches and grow under the supervision of Chanel Toson. Above all, I am committed to listening to, understanding, and assisting clients as they face life’s challenges and pursue personal growth.
