Allison Mowatt

My name is Allison Mowatt, and I am a master's level therapist specializing in child and adolescent counseling. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I have proudly called Covington, Georgia, home since childhood and am passionate about giving back to my community through my work. In addition to my passion for mental health, I enjoy dancing, writing, painting, and cooking.

My interest in mental health developed through both personal experiences and witnessing loved ones navigate emotional challenges. These experiences, along with my work assisting adolescents and families in connecting with community resources, strengthened my dedication to walking alongside clients during difficult seasons.

I take a person-centered approach to therapy, creating a warm and encouraging space where clients can safely explore their thoughts and feelings. I incorporate play therapy techniques and developmentally appropriate interventions to help clients express themselves in ways that feel natural and comfortable. Above all, I am committed to listening to, understanding, and assisting clients as they face life’s challenges and pursue personal growth.
